  1.     There are 2 SMUS players on this disk, one ending in "_safe" and
  2. one ending in "_extra". The "_extra" version is a more relaxed interpretation
  3. of the SMUS IFF music format, the documentation of which is very vague
  4. in certain critical aspects. In general, use the _safe version if a song
  5. contains instruments that sound funny when played by the _extra version.
  6.  
  7.     These SMUS players do not necessarily represent the most up to date
  8. versions available; indeed, it seems there is always room for "one more
  9. improvement" when it comes to Amiga sound software.

  11.     USAGE : smus3.5_extra iff_file instrument_dir
  12.     Example : smus3.5_extra bomba df1:

  14.     This will play the SMUS file "bomba" (available in Deluxe Music
  15. Construction Set) in the current directory with all available instruments
  16. in the directory "DF1:Instruments".

  18.     These players are for demonstration purposes only; the actual device
  19. device drivers are available for licensing to commercial developers. The
